Moving and forbidding homeless camps won’t help in Campbell River: Letter

Designating an area for homeless camping is the civil thing to do

I read “Letters demand action on encampments” article in your last edition.

I would like to point out that moving camps and making bylaws to forbid homeless camps in city limits is not going to fix the problem. We are dealing with people, people who need shelter, food, water, and toilet facilities. Like it or not they will move to another place, and then what, move them again? This is a serious social problem and a city bylaw is not going to fix it.
