Vancouver Island artist nominated for 2024 Juno breakthrough award

Victoria native Evan Crofton and his band have been nominated for a Juno Award.

Crofton performs under the name Alistair Blu, and he is the lead vocalist and a multi-instrumentalist with soul-jazz collective Busty and the Bass, who are up for breakthrough group of the year at the 2024 Juno Awards.

Victoria-born pop star Nelly Furtado will host and perform at the award show at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax on March 24.
