In loving memory ~

We've lost the rock and love of our family

For the last 6 years, Terry has been quietly battling a series of physical and mental afflictions.

Parkinson's and Dementia had their grips on him when Cancer struck. He won two rounds with it, but in the end, Cancer took him.

It was a merciful release from a body that could no longer respond to the will of the man inside of it.

Terry was predeceased by his parents, Geraldine, and Bernard Widmeyer. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Susan, of 54 years, his son, Chris (Cheryl), daughter Alison (Ari), and granddaughter Gracie Mae, who was the apple of his eye and the source of so much joy.

Terry spent many years selling heavy equipment in the logging industry in BC.

Terry and Susan started their lawncare company, GreenLawn, in 1993. It kept them busy for 30 years. Terry took every opportunity to engage in the things he loved doing, such as travelling the world.

He had a special love for Costa Rica. It is a second home for the family, and it has created so many wonderful memories.

In the summer, every chance they had, Susan and Terry went out on their boat, the Tokalon. Sometimes, with family or friends, sometimes just the two of them, content to just be alone together.

They were always at home on the water with the wildlife: whales, seals, birds, and, wildest of all, their children.

Dad's story is a lesson to us all: not to take the time we have for granted.

He had so much happiness and love in his life.

We will miss him so much and will never forget how he touched our lives.

Terry was a soft and gentle soul with a thirst for knowledge, proof that still waters run deep.

We will be having a private family burial and a big old Irish wake on a date to be announced.
