Temperatures below normal expected to hit Campbell River

Despite not being under arctic outflow warnings, residents should prepare

It’s finally time to chop the firewood or maybe let other members of the family touch the thermostat. Stock up on blankets too, because the first arctic blast of the season has come.

Environment Canada issued a weather warning for an arctic blast late on Jan. 10, and while the South Island is getting the worst of it, residents of the Campbell River area should still adhere to special advisory warnings.
