The Campbell River Minor Lacrosse Subway PeeWee B Ravens had a very successful and quite interesting series of games on the weekend. The team swept a double-header against the Victoria-Esquimalt Eagles last Saturday. The Ravens beat the Eagles in the first game and won the second game by forfeit due to some very questionable decisions by non-players.

Campbell River’s Lindsay McLoughlin is Vancouver Island University’s Mariner athlete of the year for the second time. McLoughlin, a volleyball player who won the award in 2008 when the Mariners won the nationals, accepted the award at the Mariner’s awards banquet on April 20.
