I am trying to understand how the federal Liberal/NDP partnership working with the B.C. NDP uses fairness when applying policies to reduce greenhouse gases.
My Fortes gas bill came today with no surprise. I used 8.0 gigaojoules at a cost of $17.84. The BC Carbon Tax is $25.81. That is 144 per cent. What other fossil fuels are taxed at 144 percent?
My guess is that both our local MLA and MP have logical explanations for their promotion of electric car rebates, given that most taxpayers cannot afford to buy one.
