The province is giving North Island communities funding to help them meet new legislated housing requirements.

North Island MLA Michele Babchuk said that the funding will “go a long way in making sure our smaller communities can meet the new legislated housing requirements.

“This funding can be used by local governments in a multitude of ways, like hiring consultants and new staff, or other costs associated with their needs as we work together to build more housing in our communities,” she said.
