Province funding tourism marketing for North Island

Shirley Bond announced $280,000 in funding through Destination BC

The government is investing more than $280,000 to support marketing by provincial tourism sectors.

Shirley Bond, minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training and Minister Responsible for Labour made the announcement on Thursday.

“We want to ensure that Northern Vancouver Island has the opportunity to build on their success and continue to tell your story,” she said.

The investment is made through Destination BC’s Co-op Marketing Partnerships Program and will support a number of projects in Campbell River and other communities throughout the province.
