PHOTOS: Campbell River gets blanketing of snow but no snow day for the kids

It was a snow day in Campbell River on Wednesday, Jan. 17, although not for students in School District 72 – their classes weren’t cancelled.

After snow fell over night, skies cleared in the morning with a few inches of snow accumulated on the ground. The mantle of snow around made the region quite picturesque.

A Pacific low pressure system brought widespread snow to the south coast overnight, Environment Canada said.
