The girl’s team from Phoenix Middle School placed second at the invitational wrestling meet of the season.
The local wrestlers travelled to Port Alberni on Feb. 4-5, for the invitational meeting.
Team members Hailey Dean (44 kg) and Megan Nuttal (51 kg) scored big team points with first place finishes. Adding to the team success were Ally Cyr (40 kg) and Gena Bannerman (51 kg) who each placed third in their weight class.
