In Loving Memory ~

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Pauline Woodland, nee Dempster on September 25 2023.

She is survived by her husband Jody, sons Trevor and Myles, her sisters Ann and Helen, and her dog Sadie.

Pauline was born on August 16th 1957 in Clydebank, Scotland. At the age of 7 she immigrated to Canada and lived in Barrie, Ontario. In 1974 she moved to Parksville, B.C. and finished her last year of high school there. While finishing her schooling to become a teacher, she met the love of her life, Jody Woodland. Pauline and Jody married in 1986 and had two children Trevor and Myles.

Pauline loved skiing, boating, gardening, golfing, music and most of all any activities with her friends and kids. She always took an interest in community issues, spoke up at community meetings, helped found the SAMBRA committee, and was head of the Miracle Beach School PAC for a few years. She had a true love of all animals big and small. She always believed in the old adage "It takes a Village," and she made sure her village was well looked after.

Pauline's celebration of life will be held at The Maritime Heritage Centre in Campbell River, BC on November 4th at 2:30pm.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice.
