Museum at Campbell River ‘a place of pride and community identity’

Facility marks 30th anniversary in showcase building on community waterfront

The Museum at Campbell River officially marks 30 years of being in its “new” building Wednesday, Feb. 21, although the anniversary of its opening is actually Feb. 19.

Still the facility has established itself as a must-see destination and is often considered a “hidden gem” that surprises residents and visitors alike when they first enter it.

”The most consistent comment that we receive from visitors and residents alike is their amazement regarding the size and quality of the museum,” Museum executive director Sandra Parrish said.
