It is with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Gail Oakman, at the age of 79, on October 2, 2023, at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

Linda was born in Victoria, B.C., on January 18, 1944. She married and raised her children in Campbell River, B.C. She owned and ran the Coachline Coffee Shop in Campbell River for many years. When she retired, she moved to Mackenize, B.C., and made many friends. Her next journey took her to Vernon, B.C.

Linda enjoyed spending time with family and friends at 22 Mile, Williston Lake. She travelled many kilometres with her camperized van. She even ventured to Vancouver Island by herself to visit family and friends. Crocheting, Casinos and game nights were her passions. She loved having a good time. She had a big personality and loved to make people laugh and was a natural at telling people exactly how she felt.

Linda is survived by her children Laura Sawa (George), Catherine Deley (Dwayne), James Plamondon (Nancy), and Richard Plamondon (Katrina). She was a loving grandma to Andrew (Courtney), Danielle (Arnold), Matthew (Missy), Mitchell (Kyla), Sarah (Trevor), Brandon (Tori), and David. She was a great-grandmother to 9 great-grandchildren. Linda also leaves behind her sisters Barbara (Ted) and Ruth (Terry)

Predeceased by her parents, Jim and May Oakman.

Respecting her wishes, no service will be held.
