Born to Henry and Jessie Knudson on January 8th, 1941, in Vancouver, B.C.
Karen grew up in Sayward and was an integral part of the Sayward community. A beloved member of her extended family, she loved to share her time and energy, opinions, ideas, meals and laughs. She was a persistent, strong independent woman. Karen was Saywards May Queen in 1952, and much later constructed her garage. She could wear a crown or tool belt with competence. Along the way Karen developed a deep affection for owls and all who knew her had a compulsion to contribute to this infatuation.
Karen was predeceased by her brothers Kenny, Charley, Hugh and Allan and sister Dorothy.
