In Loving Memory ~

Jon, a resident of Campbell River, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023.

Jon was born on May 6th, 1950 in Victoria, BC. After a short stint with the Royal Canadian Navy Jon started his working life at Western Mines driving mine trucks. He drove long-haul, gravel trucks, graders, but his biggest love was being a logging truck driver (his dream come true job). Jon was a proud member of the IWA during his logging career.

Jon's summer months would be spent on the ocean doing charters for customers as well as taking out family as often as possible. Jon also enjoyed many other hobbies such as hunting and golfing with his sons as well as playing poker and camping with his friends.

When Jamie and Cory were growing up Jon was involved in his boys' sports - coaching and managing multiple teams.

Jon was a loving husband to Donna, a father to Jamie (Pam) and Cory (Ashley), and the best Poppy to Aubree. He loved his family and his family loved him to the moon.

Jon also is greatly missed by sisters Toni (Chris), Lanny (Andre) and Wendy (Clayton) and brother in-law Ron (Gayle).

Jon was the best uncle to many nieces and nephews that meant the world to him. He also deeply cared and looked forward to his visits with his mother-in-law Pat Huff.

Jon was predeceased by his mom Betty Evans, dad Jack Evans, father-in-law Lyle Huff, sister Barbara, and brother Larry.

At a later date there will be a gathering of family and friends to share stories and memories to celebrate the life of Jon.

For those wishing to honour Jon's memory with a donation, consideration of Parkinson Canada (parkinson.ca) would be appreciated.
