High earners could pay their fair share

A wealth tax on the richest of the rich would put $32 billion back into the economy

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland put on an optimistic face when she gave her fall economic update in November, but I’m feeling anything but optimism.

Freeland’s statement did note the economic struggles that the country is facing, and she did include some measures that, when taken at face value, do seem to be taking steps towards making life more affordable. However, I think that they do not go far enough.
