Gloria Eleine Powszedny

In Loving Memory ~

Gloria Eleine Powszedny (formally Myers; Nickerson) passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 18th, 2023, at North Island Hospital, in Campbell River. Her loving husband Nikita "Nick" was by her side.

Gloria was born May 14th, 1943 in Quebec. She was a devoted saint, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend to many.

In 1961 Gloria married Frank Myers, in Nova Scotia. They relocated to Vancouver Island in 1979. They also spent time in Calgary and Greater Vancouver area. In 1996 they answered the call to ministry and became pastors of the UPCI church in Campbell River where they pastored until Frank's death in 2012.

Gloria was an inspiration to so many. She loved God with all of her heart and was true example of a Godly woman. Her passion for loving people was evident. Her smile and laugh could light up a room.

She was always hard at work. Whether it was bookkeeping, teaching Bible studies, volunteering, playing piano/organ, serving others, or hosting at her home, she did it all with such grace. She was a faithful saint at Victory Now Church in Campbell River where she will be greatly missed.

On October 11th, 2014 Gloria married her devoted, and loving husband Nick Powszedny. Gloria and Nick just celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary. They have enjoyed many great times over the last 9 years, including camping, travelling, and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Nick Powszedny. Children; Tina (Carl), Stephen. Step-Children; John (Lea), Jackie, and Merlene. Grandchildren; Andrea (John), Jerred (Saranya), Zander (Tasha), and Elijah (Shelby).

Step-Grandchildren; Teniel (James), Eric, Jacob, Selina, Gage, Eli, Laura and Demi.

Great-grandchildren; Jonah (Aleesha), Emily (Tyler), Ethan (Katie), Mason, and Mali. Step-Great-Grandchild; Owen. Great-Great Grandchildren; Bowen, Elsie and Rhyatt, and Lincoln.

Gloria was predeceased by her first husband Frank Myers and her Step-Grandson Jesse Lidkea.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 4th, at 2 pm. This service will take place at Victory Now Church (201 Birch St, Campbell River, BC V9W 2S4 held in the Bethany Lutheran Church) with Pastor Tim Ash officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the paramedics (Heinz Lauer and Laura T) and North Island Hospital for their exceptional care and attention. The family would also like to thank Pastor Tim Ash for being at the hospital with Nick during this difficult time.
