In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eunice after a brief illness. She has gone home to be with her Lord. Eunice was born in Empress, Alberta. She was the seventh child born to Marcus and Lulu Egeland. She grew up on the family farm and attended all her school years in a one-room schoolhouse in Acadia Valley, Alberta.
In 1956- at the age of 18- she married her best friend and the love of her life- Alan Harris. They lived in Calgary for 2 years where Eunice worked at Eatons. In 1958 the newlyweds moved to Salmon Arm, B.C. They began their family there in 1960. In 1964 they moved to Duncan, B.C. for Alan's work. Eunice worked at lan Jones Shoe store and later at the Cowichan District Hospital in the housekeeping department.
In 1980 they moved to Camp Qwanoes in Crofton, B.C. where Al was Property Manager and Eunice became the Registrar. They worked there for 14 years and touched many lives. They semi retired to Sayward in 1994. Eunice was very involved with the church social and committee was known for her warm personality, her sense of style and her wonderful baking.
She was predeceased by her husband Alan in 2020.
She is survived by her daughters Crystal Johnson (Daniel), Susan Hawkes (Rob) and Tara Harris; her grandchildren Andi, Carli, Jesse, Jake, Jenn, Cassi, Garrick and Jorja; her great-grandchildren Aiden, Austin, Ezra, Laila, Annabelle and Jack and her great-grandson Brantly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be a celebration of life on Friday, October 20,, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Sayward Heritage Hall 1257 Sayward Road.
