It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dianna. She was born in Rossland, BC, on January 30th, 1943, and acknowledged her Russian and Scottish ancestry. She died in Campbell River on October 1st, 2023, of complications from Vascular Dementia.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband Bob, daughter Janice Knodell (Dave), granddaughter Carly, daughter-in-law Debbie Weir, sister-in-law Jill Taylor (Phil) and Dave's daughters Dawn and Sara. Predeceased by grandson Dylan (2007) and son Patrick (2013).
Dianna met Bob in Trail and they were married on October 6th, 1962. They spent ten years in Prince George and moved to Campbell River in 1977. Dianna worked as an ambulance attendant (PG) and for School District 72 as a bus driver (22 years) mainly for children with special needs. She loved her job.
Dianna will be remembered for her love of cooking, devotion to family, and strong work ethic.
Bob would like to extend his heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff of Park Place, Quadra 2nd Floor who made a sad situation a little more tolerable. No service per Dianna's request. You have paid your dues Lady Di. Rest in Peace.
