In loving memory ~

It is with extreme sadness to announce the passing of Daxton Oliver Bennett. On December 28th, 2023, Daxton passed away in his home surrounded by family.

Leaving to grieve are his wife Kim, his daughters Paige and Lucy, his sister Meagan, and his mother Phyllis. He was predeceased by his father Chris in 2022.

Daxton was born June 1st, 1979 in Campbell River and after high school left for BCIT. Daxton worked in various areas of employment including selling blueberry plants, working in the oil field as a hot oiler and he also owned his own shredding business.

While living in the lower mainland Daxton met the love of his life Kim and the two of them were married by 2006. They then had 2 beautiful girls Paige and Lucy and soon after work took them to Alberta to then settle in Whitecourt.

Dax was an avid curler in his youth and loved the outdoors camping, hiking and most of all metal detecting.

Above all Dax was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and son. Family was everything to Dax.

A celebration of life will be held at the Campbell River Curling Club on January 20th starting at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to share stories memories and refreshments celebrating the life of a remarkable man.
