With temperatures forecast to drop below zero over night in the coming nights, the City of Campbell River is activating a warming centre.

The warming centre will be activated at the Community Centre, 401 11 avenue, between 11 p.m. on the evening of Jan. 10 until 7 a.m. on Jan 11.

“Having a safe space to get warm is essential for people experiencing homelessness and living outside during periods of cold weather,” said Elle Brovold, City Manager.
