As far as I am concerned, taxes in Campbell River are out of control and is spending.
The city knew for years that Catalyist may close. The lumber mill closed years ago. They have spent the tax money from the mills and not looked to the future.
I have not heard the city say anything about cutting costs, re-organizing, reconsidering their costs or anything else to save.
