My McLean grandparents were pioneers of Campbell River. They owned several businesses, and were very involved with this community. They would be disgusted with how our downtown core has been allowed to disintegrate and become unsafe to visit.
I, as well, was a downtown business owner until last year. I watched the area slowly change. My employees were no longer feeling safe.
