BC Hydro is issuing a public safety advisory to stay away from Elk Falls Canyon and the Campbell River beginning tonight (Wed., Jan. 24) through Feb. 5.

River flows will be high, dangerous and fluctuating as the public utility adjusts discharges from the John Hart hydroelectric facilities to respond to high ocean tides. Temporary river flow safety signage will be in place today.
