Annual model train showcase gives people chance to discover hobby

Event to continue Sunday from noon until 4 p.m.

The whirring sound of model trains chugging along their tracks could be heard out in the lobby of the Museum at Campbell River last weekend.

The event, which has been going on for more than three decades, is a fundraiser for the museum. Members of the North Island Model Railroaders bring out their sections of a larger track, which they maintain and create throughout the year.
