The Campbell River Food Bank and Campbell River Hospice Society received a donation of $4,475 at the 100 Women Who Care Campbell River event held Nov. 23.
The two organizations had the highest amount of votes after members of 100 Women Who Care voted.
The funds donated to Campbell River Hospice Society will be used to support an unprecedented increase in requests for support they continue to experience from 63 per cent in 2021 to 81 per cent this past year.
